Menu Plan Monday
Monday-chicken casserole, green beans, salad before Jared's game
Tuesday-not sure yet (Daddy working)
Wednesday-sandwich or leftovers before church
Thursday-Bruschetta chicken (from last week since my hubbie took me out)
Friday-probably out to eat
Saturday- hamburgers and hot dogs.
I am at a challenging point in my menu planning becasue there are only so many dishes I know that include chicken. We are cutting down on beef becasue of David's gout. I will take any suggestions any of you ahve and will be spending a lot of time researching this so a lot of my menus right now will be repeats!

It's A Winner!
Today we saw Disney's newest movie, Game Plan. It was so good! We do not go to movies much because there usually isn't one all of us can go to and movies are so expensive for 5 people. This movie was worth it and not one cuss word! Check it out!

Fit 4Life Friday
Boy, my legs feel like jelly right now. It has been a pretty good week. I walked 5 miles on Tuesday around Stone Mountain (just about killed us), walked 3 miles today at Tribble Mill Park, and walked one other day in my neighborhood. Now, this was a VERY unusual week and it will probably not happen again so, no, I have not turned into a work out machine-Ha. I have added a DVD called 8 min. abs and I really like it. I will TRY to keep it up!
Start weight: 149 (March 9th)
Lowest weight: 140
Current weight: 144-down 1 pound from last week. :)
Water-doing Ok, anywhere from 24 - 32 oz. a day
Writing down what I eat-not happening.
I'm keeping my same goals.

Thankful Thursday Smiles
I was tagged by Jodi to list the top 10 things that make me smile. How appropriate for today!
1. Today is 80's day at Jacob's school and this is his outfit. Remember the Member's Only jacket ? His hair is a mullet. I laughed and laughed when he came walking in this morning. I'm not laughing at them celebrating the 80's for hoecoming week. What happened to the 50's?
2. When Jenna escapes to her room, shuts the door, puts her CD's in and sings her heart out.
3. When Jared comes out with the funniest "one liners" sometimes.
4. Remembering our trip to Disney and what a wonderful time we had.
5. David surprised me with a date night tonight. Usually I do all the planning for date nights. He makes me smile every day becasue I am so thankful for him!
6. My day with Cheryl Tuesday-we laughed so hard she almost ran into a mail box!
7. Getting a Chick-Fil-A chocolate milkshake all to myself!
8. My favorite show started-Dancing With the Stars. Wish I could take dance lessons-that would be so fun!
9. Holding a new, one day old, baby and remembering what that was like and so glad that phase of my life is over-Ha.
10. Most of all, each day I smile at what all the Lord has done for me. He has blessed me with such an awesome family and good friends-new and old!
Love My Teva's
Tuesday I spent a great day with my friend Cheryl. She got these Teva's for my birthday. (It's in March but we don't get to see each other often and celebrate special occasions when we can.) These things are awesome. They mold to your feet. What a great gift. Thanks, Cheryl.
Sure Hope I Win
5 Minutes for Mom is giving away a Dyson! We do not currently have a vacuum cleaner becasue we can't agree on which one to get! I know, it seems weird but my husband is a cleaner and actually cares what kind of vacuum cleaner we get-Ha. (We borrow NaNa's for now.) It would be awesome if we won this then the decision would be made.

Day For the Girls
I am still playing catch up after Disney World and getting sick. While Mom was here we had a fun girls day with NaNa. We went to a great cafe' called the Blue Rooster. (My friend Cheryl happens to work there too so we had a great lunch and I got to see her.) Thanks for taking the picture Cheryl.

Batter Up!
Jared started his games on Sept. 10th. I'm so glad he's playing this season after "laying low" for the past few seasons. We really wanted it to be his decision. He calls himself the "walkin' boy" because he loves to walk. (He's afraid if he swings he will strike out.) He's good at it too and has a good eye. The best part of the game is how he runs and gives us a hug when he scores a run. It is so sweet. Good luck Jared on the Rays this year. So far they have won 2 and tied 1-not so bad.

Fit 4 Life Friday
Some time ago I joined the May Challenge at Tales From the Scales. It's the reason I started this blog. It helped keep me on track and then as soon as July got here everything I was doing went out the window. I saw Fit 4 Life Friday on Michelle's blog at Henderson Highlights (I still can't do links) and since the May Day challenge is over I really wanted to do this. I like the idea of weighing in on Friday. So, here it goes. It's cool outside and I'm ready to get back to walking! Especially since I got on the scales yesterday and I had gained 5 pounds-yuck. I worked so hard for those 5 pounds!! I was so excited in July when I was only 1 pound away from losing 10 pounds. Even with all the fun summer stuff going on I was losing weight or, at least, maintaining, What a difference 2 months, no walking, no water, Disney World trip (doesn't all that walking count for something?) can make! So here it goes. Even though I have been sick this week and right now I still feel "crappy" and keep coughing-I'm ready to go! Here are my goals: 1. Start with 32 oz. of water a day. 2. Write down what I eat. 3. Walk 3 - 4 days a week for 45 minutes. Start weight on March 9th: 149 Lowest weight since March 9th: 140 Current weight: 145 Goal weight: 135 One thing I have learned is that consistency is the key. Going off for a weekend is Ok but not for months! Ha. Hopefully, by next Friday I will have lost 1 pound!

Thankful Thursday
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
~ Psalm 100:4 (NIV)
September 9th was Grandparents Day and today is grandparents day at Jenna's school. What would we do without them?
1. David parents live right next door to us. They walk through a path that goes straight to their back door.
2. NaNa comes over several times a week while I take Jacob to the bus stop.
3. They have us over for dinner.
4. Our favorite thing is to go over on Sunday night and sit around, look through sale papers, and talk.
5. Most of all, we love having their wisdom on a daily basis!
6. My parents live in KY so we don't take the time we have for granted and make the most of every minute.
7. Mom was able to go to Disney World with us.
8. My Mom is retired now so we will see her a lot more.
9. Mom has been here for at least the past 3 years for Christmas.
10. The phone-helps keep us in touch every day!
Yes, we love grandparents and are so thankful for them!

I had an idea this morning to track my progress today on my blog. This has been fun becasue it keeps me on track! I know it will be boring for those reading it but it sure has been fun for me!

12:00-jump in shower to go to a pep rally at Jacob's school

Home
I woke up this morning so happy to be AT HOME! I'm allowing myself to post this- then no more computer today until I get my house cleaned. I have not had time in probably about a month to really clean my house. Boys are at school so Jenna and I have some work to do! David left today to work 48 hours so we will not see him until Sunday morning. That is always a bummer but now I can fill the house with that "clean smell" for him as soon as he walks in the door Sunday morning. Then we can have some fun family time!
Oh yeah, I am going to watch Regis and Kelly because Kathie Lee Gifford will be on there this morning. I'm curious to see what that will be like! I really lked her on the show!

Thankful Thursday
I am so thankful today that I am starting a new Bible Study. I am the Preschool Director at my church so I do not make it to Sunday School and hardly ever go to church service. The study is on Acts with Jerry Sisk who is such an awesome teacher!
It's also at a church just 5 minutes from my church which makes it very convenient.
I look forward to all the Lord is going to teach me during this study!

9-11
September 11th is always an emotinal day for me. Since my husband is a fireman I can't help but think about all these women who kissed their husband goodbye, as I did this morning, never to see them again. So many families lost loved ones that day. The only thing I know to do is thank God for every day with my friends and family.
I'm also emotional today because my Mom went back to Kentucky after being with her for 9 days. That is probably the longest we have had together since I moved here in 1989. I'm so thankful for the time we had together.
Kiss your family today, give them a hug, DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF, and have a good time! (I'm speaking to myself too.)

Magical Week-Tuesday
Wow! What a day. I love the Magic Kingdom. We started our day with breakfast at Crystal Palace then had the rest of the day to ride! We all rode Space Mountain (except Mom and Jenna, of course). Jenna did all the fun Fantasy Land stuff. We went to storytime with Belle, rode Buzz Lightyear, Pirates, and everything else we could ride! By 7:30 everyone was wiped out, Jenna was not feeling well so we decided to head back to the room. We missed the fireworks but I didn't care. The whole trip was amazing!

Magical Week-Monday
By today, Jenna was wiped out! We went to MGM, saw Beauty and the Beast (loved it!), I rode Rockin' Roller Coaster (walk this way!), we ate lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe' then went back to the hotel. Jenna took a 3 hour nap then we headed to the pool to chill out. The boys stayed at MGM and enjoyed all the "boy stuff" there.

Magical Week-Sunday
Today was Epcot. We ate lunch with the Princesses at Norway: Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, and Cinderella again. Our favorite ride was at Epcot. We rode Test Track over and over (even Jenna). The boys rode it 6 times! We ate dinner at Chef Mickey's then back over to Epcot to ride Test Track some more.

Magical Week-Saturday
I'm not sure where to begin to tell you about this trip so i decided to go day by day:
Saturday-we headed to Animal Kingdom where we saw amazing animals and rode the new Expedition Everest-great ride! Then on to my favorite part-we headed to Bibbidi Bobbidi Botuqie to get Jenna made up for our dinner with Cinderella. This was so much fun!!! The dinner was great and Grand Floridian is amazing!
