Girls Day

We had a great day Thursday at the Blue Willow Inn in Social Circle. The Blue Willow is THE best place for traditional southern food. My mother-in-law treated me, Jenna, my sister-in-law Debbie and my niece Mandy. We also went to our favorite doll store and "shopped around". I love those dolls as much as Jenna. Thanks so much to NaNa! Thanks Jess for taking our picture!

I just can't believe our summer is coming to an end. Jared starts July 31st and our days are packed with mostly appointments and stuff. I do believe this has been the quickest summer ever-until next year!

Outrigger Island 2008, June 2 - 6

Each year our church has about 500 - 600 kids during the week of VBS. I am in charge of the worker's kids and we have about 100 in that area. VBS is always the best week of the year. It's so fun and tiring at the same time.

This is a DVD we made but it only includes the worker's kids. This is the third year we have done a DVD and sent one home with each family. Many thanks to my friend Melody for the many hours she put into this. She also put it on GodTube which I thought was a great idea.

"Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name." Psalm 86:11

Ahhhh.....Summer!

Kendall, Jenna, and Sadie Hill on the last day of Preschool ("Freedom Day").

Jacob and Mrs. Chambers.

Jared at field day.

Friday morning I woke up to summer! Even though I still work in the summer and have a lot going on, this is what summer means at my house:

1. No gettin up at 5:45.
2. No delivering children to 3 different schools.
3. No stress from delivering children to 3 different schools.
4. Morning walks in my beautiful neighborhood.
5. Sitting on my front porch (I'm trying Mom)in the morning with a cup of coffee, bible, and devotion book in hand.
6. Evenings at home with my family.
7. No baseball!
8. Going to my aunt's in South Carolina.
9. Hopefully getting away with david for a couple of nights.
10. Did I say, more time with my famiy?

Yes, summer is here but I am also so very thankful for the past school year. The Lord provided for a great school for Jacob. He finished 6th grade and did such a great job! Jared finished 4th grade and also did a great job especially since he had his appendix out mid-year! Jenna did great at preschool and we're looking forward to Kindergarten in the fall. Our life is pretty much the same year round with the same routines but I am so glad...."Some Things Never Change!"
